The Terrell Family
Once upon a time... I spent a morning in the backyard with the Terrell family (who also happen to be my relatives) and my camera. It took me way too long to get to finally editing these photos (why does family always get neglected???) but once I got to it I found myself saying "oh my goodness" a WHOLE lot. The entire Terrell family is just darling. I felt like every last one of them could be on the cover of something, for crying out loud.
Michael and Amy have five little ones with five distinct personalities and five sets of beautiful, gleaming (and sometimes mischievous) blue eyes. One of the things I loved most about the time I spent with the Terrells was how I got to see the way they worked together. When you have four siblings you have to learn to be a team player ever-so-often. I watched as each one took there time to step in and help out with their active baby brother, Caleb. At one point in time Caleb started to cry about the same time as an unfortunate, minor, paddle ball accident that also left Natalie in tears. The next thing I knew, Miss Natalie was at Caleb's side, suddenly composed, toy in hand, calming him, with tears still lingering on her little red cheeks. And there I was, just snapping pictures of the whole thing. As Natalie pulled her glance away from her now calm baby brother and up to me with my camera I knew I was not just capturing but also learning something truly profound.
I love this family and can't wait until I get to see their sweet faces again. Come back soon Terrell family!
I don't normally post pics of crying babies (hehe) but this was that moment with Natalie and Caleb that I adored. Just look at those precious tears.
We also happened to sneak in a few pics of the ENTIRE Terrell clan...
