Raleigh / An Alternate View
For about a day and a half I thought that I was going to enter the Raleigh Abstractions exhibit and set out for inspiration. While in Peru I was memorized by the hand painted signs and "layers" that were found on most every surface in the small towns in the Sacred Valley. They told a beautiful, authentic story. When I returned from Peru I was surprised to suddenly have my eyes opened to a similar story found on the sides of buildings all throughout downtown Raleigh. The layers were simply enchanting and I set out one Sunday afternoon to attempt to capture them. (I never entered a piece into the exhibit, but I am delighted with what I captured in these photos).
