Samantha & Bryan

Samantha and Bryan's entire wedding was themed around the oak. They were married beneath a giant live oak on the front lawn of Samantha's parents home and the reception took place beneath the twisting limbs of an oak grove in their backyard. Their wedding invitation (designed by myself) featured an oak silhouette created from an image of the same oak they were to be married beneath. But the connections ran much deep than that. The oak for them meant more than the physical tree they said their vows beneath. It represented what they desired in their marriage and family. In life, as in marriage, we are to be oaks of righteousness. The oak draws from its roots, as we should the word of God. It reaches up, as we should to glorify our king. It reaches out, as we should to save those around us and live by example. It gives back bearing fruit and shade as needed by those around us. Be an oak; plant your roots deep in your faith, drink up the water of life and you will grow, reach out, and shade.
